Welcome!
With friends and family scattered all over the world, this is the easiest way to keep everyone up to date with my triathlon training!
Hopefully I can keep you all entertained, informed and inspired. Who knows, maybe one (or more) of you will give triathlon a go.
It's not all about Ironman, $10,000 bikes, wetsuits and carbon fibre. My first triathlon is a 100 metre swim, 10km bike and a 2km run. It will all be over by the time most people are starting to stir from a nice sleep on a Sunday morning. Heck, if I can do this after my knee surgeries, carrying an extra 20kg and with a long history of laziness - so can you!
I may run like Forest Gump - but I don't care. At the end of the day, it's about completion, not competition. Yeah, sure, I'd like to win a tri someday, but for now it's about getting experience, fitness and endurance.
Enjoy :-)
